FBC Connect Class begins Sunday (5/4)! If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or becoming a member, then this is your class! This 3-part class will take place in the Conference Room (across from the church office) during the Sunday School hour (9:15-10:15). If you have any questions, feel free to call the office! 

 

Word of Life Ontario Mission Trip  FBC is sending a team back to WoL, Ontario to help and support our missionaries, Jonathan and Melissa Ward, through work projects, clean up, etc.  Passports and a $100 deposit are required for this trip.  All ages are welcome, but middle school age and younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. We would like to see interested high school students provide their own deposit to show a full commitment to doing the Lord’s work at WoL. Applications are available at Mission Wall & are due Sunday, May 4!!

 

The Ladies’ Walking Group will meet at 6:30pm this Thursday in the parking lot to walk around the neighborhood.  This group is for ladies of all ages and walking abilities. 

 

Red Cross Blood Drive will be here next Monday, August 9, in the BFLC (gym) from 12:30-5:30pm. You can sign up for a time slot at www.redcross.org.

 

Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages.  If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope.

Fishnet Meeting This Week! This group of amazing ladies will be meeting again on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please call Donna Outt.

Vacation Bible School July 7-11 | 6-8:30PM – Make sure you are up-to date with your clearances at danvillefirstbaptist.org/safe-church. Go to our websitee to complete the annual Safe Church Training videos and fill out the corresponding form. Kiddo Registration begins June 1st!

 

Church Business Meeting Sat., May 17 @ 9 AM – Goodies & Coffee available at 8:30 AM. All are welcome to attend; however only members who attend will be able to vote. We will be voting on proposed revisions to the Constitution and discussing various topics of church business. 

 

Danville Baccalaureate Service Sunday, May 18th | 7PM at the Danville High School – All are welcome to attend!  Donations of prepackaged snacks would be greatly appreciated.  Please drop off at the kitchen by May 18th & mark it for baccalaureate.

 

SOUND TRAINING OPPORTUNITY Ever wonder what all those knobs and sliders do on the sound board? Now’s your chance to find out! Whether you’re curious, eager to serve, or just love tech, join us for an exciting hands-on Sound Training led by Pastor John on Tuesday, May 20 at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary. You’ll learn the basics of live sound, get real-time experience mixing, and discover how YOU can play a part in creating an awesome worship environment. Ladies Retreat Weekend Sept 12-14, 2025 | Linck Hill Inn – Registration is now OPEN! Ladies 18+ are invited to a great weekend of Bible study (diving into Romans 12), games, food, service project, building relationships and creating new ones, and much more.
