Family Meal – Sept. 11
Served: 4:45-5:45PM | Suggested Donation is $3/person or $10/family Sign Up by Monday: Ramp Bulletin Board, in SBS class or call the office Menu: BBQ, Baked Beans, Macaroni & Cheese & the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time. Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for special needs are free of charge.
Ladies Open Door Bible Study – “Proven” by Jennie Allen This is an 8 week study on the book of John. Tuesday morning sessions will begin on 9/24 at 9:00am. Wednesday evening sessions will begin on 9/18 at 6:00pm. Suggested book donation is $15. Childcare is available at both sessions. Sign up sheets are available at our table in the main lobby!
Unaltered Tour – SATURDAY | OCT 5 | 7-9P – Obedience to the truth leads to freedom and the fullness of life. Unaltered Event Volunteers! Join us for an exciting, life changing event! We are looking for volunteers to help out in some of the following areas:
  • Housing 10 Unaltered missionaries (4-5 host homes needed)
  • Food Coordinator for the missionaries’ meals and snacks
  • Helpers for food preparation
  • Help in various areas during the event

FBC is Going to NC…AGAIN!! We are looking for 3 volunteers to join our team of 5 as we partner with Samaritan’s Purse in ministering to families in New Bern, NC. Hurricane Florence was referred to as the “storm of a lifetime” for the Eastern North Carolina region and our rebuild volunteers will be making construction repairs to homes. Here are the details:
  • Leaving early Sunday, November 10
  • Returning Saturday afternoon, November 16
For more info on the trip, like tasks & responsibilities, schedule, what to pack, applications, and more, stop by the Info Desk! We need to secure these 3 volunteer spots as soon as possible! APPLICATIONS ARE DUE SEPT. 29.
FBC Music Ministries
Choir practice will begin on Monday evening, September 9th, from 7:15-8:30pm in the sanctuary. If you are interested in joining the choir, come to a rehearsal! Our only requirements are that you love the Lord, attend rehearsals and can match pitch!
Bells of Joy handbell choir is starting up for the Fall as well. Now is a great time to check it out, you just need to be able to read music. Our first rehearsal will be on Monday, September 9 from 6-7:15pm in the Bell Room.
Praise Team This contemporary group worships during the 10:30am Sunday Service. If you are interested in auditioning, please email Pastor John at He’ll email you songs to rehearse ahead of time, a questionnaire to fill out and setup an audition time with you. Auditions will usually take place Thursday evenings.
Project Love Oct. 19-Day of Service / Oct. 20- Night of Worship – FBC, Iron Mill & Redeemer join together to love on the Danville community through service projects! More info to come.

FBC Connect – Sundays, Sept. 8, 15 & 22 / Wednesdays, Sept. 11, 18 & 25 – If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or becoming a member, then this is your class! This 3-part class begins SUNDAY @ 9:15am and Wednesday @ 6pm. It will take place in the Conference Room (across from the church office). If you have any questions, feel free to call the office!
Summer Soup Cans are Ready for Pick-up! The funds you collect in your soup cans will go toward the cost of eyeglasses and sunglasses that will be distributed during the FBC short-term missions trip to Costa Rica in November. Please have your cans back by NEXT SUNDAY. Thank you so much!
