Vesper Service at the Montour-Delong Community Fair – Join us Sunday at 7:00 PM to kick off the fair by praising God! The fair is located at

5848 Broadway Road, Danville.

River Baptism – Sunday, August 5 – 4:30pm – River Baptism Bring your chair to the Danville side of the river by the bridge as we celebrate the public statement of changed life!

Cookies & Brownies Needed – Any and all non-meltable (it’s hot out there!) goodies would be appreciated for the river baptism! Please drop off items marked “baptism” in the kitchen by Sunday morning or bring items directly to the baptism. Thank you in advance!

Keep On Jamming! VBS Music CDs are available at the Info Desk! Grab one for you and a friend!

If you had fun at VBS… then join our Awana Team!! There will be a Leader Training session on Wednesday, 8/22 at 6:30pm in the Springer Chapel. Circle “A” if you are interest in joining, returning, or would like more information. We look forward to seeing new and returning leaders there!
 
Barnabas Sunday: Next Week! During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket will be in the Foyer next Sunday. August’s need is Peanut Butter and Saltines.Fishnet Partners! Fishnet Ministry processes large quantities of glasses, school supplies, etc. that will be used on short-term trips by teams from FBC, GAiN and Joni and Friends. Next Thursday (8/9), they will be processing eye glasses in Room 9 from 9am-12pm. All are welcome!

 

Summer Business Meeting The business meeting that was scheduled for last Wednesday was postponed. It will be rescheduled for a date later this summer. November Haiti Trip Applications are due August 1st!!! If you would like to go, please pick up an application at our Info Desk. Trip date is
November 10-17.

Summer Campground Ministry Join Joe & Terry Davis of the Shamokin Area Christian Laymen as they share the good news each Sunday!

  • 9am – Knoebels: Near campground registration Desk *Bring Chairs!
  • 10:30am – J&D Campground: Multi-purpose building *Seating provided

 

LuoPad Team Join us the first Thursday of every month at 9:30am as we continue to assemble LuoPads in the BFLC. This is an ongoing mission through GAiN that provides sanitary undergarments to women all over the world! We’d love to have you join us! If you’d like sewing lessons so you can help out, contact Patty Miller.

Adult Open Gym Night! Mondays from 8-10pm, adults ages 25+ are welcome to come enjoy a game or two of basketball! The fellowship will boost your spirit and the exercise will boost your health! For any questions, contact Leighton Elliott.

 

Safe Church Class TODAY! This class is required for all individuals working with children at FBC. Please join Ruth Ann in the BFLC at 9:15am.

Treasure Fest 2018 Begins TODAY in the gym! Treasure Fest takes place on the following Sundays (7/29, 8/5 & 8/12) where everyone has a chance to go through the unwanted items! – – – Everything is FREE! – – – If you haven’t gone through your (FBC) closet/storage area, time is running out!

Pizza with the Pastors – Sunday, August 5 – Following the 10:30am service – For new attenders—Join the pastors for an informal time together to help us get better acquainted with one another. No RSVP needed—just stop in!

Stars Go Dim & Zach Williams Free Concert!!  August 9 at the Union County West End Fair! FBC Van Leaves at 6PM Sharp *Sign-up at the Info Desk!* Seating Limited! Bring a chair! Admission to the fair is $5.
 

Calling Golfers of All Levels! There will be an informal golf outing each week on Thursdays at 4:30pm at the Links at Hemlock Creek in Bloomsburg. If you are interested, please call Jim Andrews or Doug Wesner.

The Socks & Underwear Drive is here!! Please bring your donation of new socks and/or underwear for boys and girls, sizes 4-16 to the kitchen foyer until Sunday, August 12th. These items will be given by the Good Samaritan ministry to local students in need as they prepare for the new school year.
 
Haiti Soup Can Project – Soup cans are available in the main lobby until August 12 to those who would like to collect change. The money collected is used by the FBC Haiti Team to purchase glasses which the Team then distributes while there in November. The Soup Cans will be due back on Sunday, September 16th.
