FBC Connect Class If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or
becoming a member, then this is your class! This is a 3-part class and will take place on September 9, 16 & 23 in the Conference Room (across from the church office) at 9:15am. If you have any questions, feel free to call the church office!

Keep On Jamming! VBS Music CDs are available at the Info Desk! Grab one for you and a friend!

Danville World Hunger Project On Saturday, September 8 from 9-12pm, hundreds of people will join together in the BFLC to pack thousands of meals and seed packs for international relief! You do not want to miss this! To donate and/or register go to www.danvillefirstbaptist.org/gain/.

Fishnet Partners! Fishnet Ministry processes large quantities of glasses, school supplies, etc. that will be used on short-term trips by teams from FBC, GAiN and Joni and Friends. This Thursday (8/16), they will be processing eye glasses in Room 9 from 9am-12pm. All are welcome!
 
Summer Business Meeting & Ice Cream Social is this Wednesday at 6:30pm in the Chapel!
 

Blood Drive Tomorrow: Red Cross Blood Drive will be here tomorrow in the BFLC from 1:00-6:00pm. Stop and see Jack and Brenda who will be serving food in the kitchen to all donors!

Trim Healthy Mama Are you looking for a healthier eating lifestyle? Maybe you have heard of Trim Healthy Mama and would like to know more or have already started and are completely overwhelmed. You are invited to the first meeting of our THM group August 15 at 6pm. A potluck dinner will be held, sharing THM dishes and recipes, as well as discussion about the program. RSVP to Rachel Renno by TODAY.

Football Chapel: The first football chapel is on Friday, 8/24 at 6:30am. A few big hearts are needed to make and serve breakfast to the football team and cheerleaders. If you are interested in helping, call the church office.

If you had fun at VBS then join our Awana Team!! There will be a Leader Training session on Wednesday, 8/22 at 6:30pm in the Springer Chapel. Circle “A” if you are interested in joining, returning, or would like more information. We look forward to seeing new and returning leaders there!

 

Parent Night at Awana! Are you interested in registering your 4yr-6th grader in our Awana program, but need more info? Join us on Wednesday 8/29 at 6:30pm in the chapel to get all the info you need AND have the opportunity to register/order supplies before the rush!

Activities for Adults Looking to connect with a fun group of people AND burn calories? Try these out!

The Socks & Underwear Drive is here!! Please bring your donation of new socks and/or underwear for boys and girls, sizes 4-16 to the kitchen foyer today. These items will be given by the Good Samaritan ministry to local students in need as they prepare for the new school year.

 

School Supplies for Haiti – During the month of August, the Haiti Team is collecting school supplies for the children of Haiti. We’ll take these with us and distribute them during our November trip. Please leave your donations of the following suggested items in the barrel outside Springer Chapel by September 2.
 

Mothers of Preschoolers – MOPS is part of an international movement to connect moms who have one or more children ages birth to kindergarten. Our goal is to provide you with a tribe of supportive women as you navigate the world of motherhood, faith, and life together. Meetings are 9-11am the 2nd Wednesday of each month September through May. For more info go to www.danvillefirstbaptist.org/mops/. Registration is now open. —> First Meeting: September 12 <—

Youth Group Kickoff – Sunday, Aug 26 – 5:00-8:30pm – See what the new Iron Youth has to offer this year. All middle and high school
students are welcomed to enjoy our famously awesome slip-n-slide, a campfire, great food, and new or old friends.
