FBC Connect Class Coming Soon! If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or becoming a member, then this is your class! This is a 3-part class and will take place on January 6, 13 & 20 in the Conference Room (across from the church office) at 9:15am. If you have any questions, feel free to call the church office!
 
Baptism Service will be taking place on January 27. If you are interested in being baptized at this service, let the pastors know by January 13!
 
Christmas Cookies for Shut-ins TODAY! We’ll be caroling to our shut-ins this evening, and we give each of them a plate of assorted Christmas cookies! If you would like to donate some yummy cookies, please bring them to kitchen today and note “shut-ins” on them. Carolers will be in the FBC kitchen at 4pm to begin plating them up.
 
December Directory: Thank you for all the info updates you’ve sent in! Directories will be ready for pick up in the main lobby next Sunday 12/23 for anyone who’d like one!
 
Christmas Offering Envelopes are located in the pews. The Christmas Offering will go towards funding for a new church van as well as funding for our future renovation projects.
 
Combined Adult Sunday School – Sunday, December 30! Join us at 9:15am in the sanctuary to hear the Ameen’s testimony. Paul, was born and raised as a Muslim in Egypt, firstborn of the imam of the mosque, trained to be a Muslim evangelist, Paul’s life was interrupted by the Lord in 1997 and he converted to Christianity. Come and hear how he and his wife, Salwa, reach out in a variety of creative ways to Muslims around the world presenting the truth of Christ’s love and teaching Christian apologetics.
 
New Year’s Eve Celebration! Join us in the BFLC at 5pm for Dinner & a Movie! Movie: Christopher Robin!
Christopher Robin — now a family man living in London — receives a surprise visit from his old childhood pal, Winnie-the-Pooh. With Christopher’s help, Pooh embarks on a journey to find his friends — Tigger, Eeyore, Owl, Piglet, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo. Once reunited, the lovable bear and the gang travel to the big city to help Christopher rediscover the joy of life. Great for ALL ages! To sign up, contact the church office.
 
Christmas Tree of Love – Christmas is a time of giving! You will find the Tree of Love in the kitchen foyer by the gym entrance. Each ornament represents a person and a gift request or suggestion. As God leads you, please take an ornament from the tree and return it unwrapped in a Christmas-style gift bag to the church office by December 16th. Please keep the ornament with the gift so we can get it to the right person. If you are giving a gift card, please attach the receipt and/or the activation slip with the gift card. *LAST MINUTE ORNAMENTS AVAILABLE!*
 
Christmas Gifts for Truckers! During the Christmas season, FBC has been partnering with Pastor Howard Long for many years in his ministry to truck drivers at the Buckhorn Chapel! This year’s needs are packs of sugar-free gum and cookies! If you would like to participate please bring your cookies, 4 per ziplock baggie, to the collection box in the kitchen on December 19. Gum packs can be dropped off anytime until December 19 in the collection boxes in the main lobby & kitchen.
 
Fishnet Partners Fishnet Ministries processes large quantities of goods that will be sent to the mission field. This Thursday, they will be working in Room 9 on processing eye glasses in the BFLC from 9-12pm. All are welcome!
 
Soup Can Need In this season for soup, the Mission Board is in need of empty, clean, 10.5oz soup cans. The collection bin is located by the kitchen.
 
Baptism Service Coming! There will be a baptism service taking place on January 27. If you are interested in being baptized at this service, let the pastors know by January 13!
 
Midweek Meal: Wednesday, December 19: Dinner is served 4:45-5:45 PM. This week’s menu is Fried Chicken, Scalloped Potatoes, Candied Carrots & the desserts you bring. Please sign up by Monday, 12/17 on the Ramp Bulletin Board, in your SBS class or by calling the office. This is the last midweek meal until January 9th. Suggested donation for meals is $3/person or $10/family. If you know of a shut-in or elderly person and would be willing to deliver a meal to them, it is free of charge. Please put their name on the sign up sheet and indicate “Shut-In”. Desserts are on a donation basis, so feel free to share a dessert any time.
 
Caroling to our Shut-ins! 4pm – Join us today in the kitchen as we plate up assortments of cookies for our Shut-ins! / 5pm – Vans leave to go caroling.
