Family Meal Wednesday
Served: 4:45-5:45PM | Suggested Donation is $3/person or $10/family
Sign Up by Monday: Ramp Bulletin Board, in SBS class or call the office
Menu: Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables & the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time.
Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for special needs are free of charge.
 
PRAYER WALK Next Sunday, Sept. 10 @ 12pm – We will meet at Canal Park amphitheater, then split into groups to walk around Danville. Non–walkers can stay at the amphitheater and pray. Please bring a snack and water. Prayer guides will be available there.
 
Kitchen Call! Do you enjoy cooking? How about helping in the kitchen? Or setting up the dining area? Maybe even dishwashing! Wednesday Family Meals will be back in action SOON and they need your help! If interested, call the office! Also, if you know of any shut-ins that could use a meal on Wednesdays, let us know!
 
Bells of Joy are Back! Handbell choir is starting up for the Fall. Now is a great time to check it out! Our first rehearsal will be on Monday, September 11 from 6-7:15pm in the Bell Room. Note: you need to be able to read music.
 
Breakfast Sweets Needed Our Sunday morning Coffee Hour team would be grateful for any homemade or store-bought breakfast foods. Please drop off in the kitchen before 9am. Wanna join the team? Talk to one of our team members! A HUGE Thank You for the donations we’ve received!!
 
Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages. If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope.
 
Ministry Heads If you have a need in your ministry and would like to see it posted on the “SAY YES” wall, contact the office (570) 275-1511 with the exact positions needed.
 
Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Donna Outt.
 
Care & Concern Ministry began in October 2003 and is a group of some of the biggest hearts around. This ministry has lifted the hearts of many as the love of Christ is shared in a practical & much needed way. Let us know if you would like to be on our call list. Provide your contact number and area(s) where you can serve. They help out in the following areas as their gifts and abilities allow:
  • Make and take meals to those who have had babies, surgery or are going through a tough time
  • Drive people to appointments
  • Sit with the homebound
  • Help with lawn care
  • Shovel snow off walk ways and driveways
  • Light cleaning
 
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is starting a new season! Our new theme is about Saying Yes to this year, in this place, with these people! Hope to see you there. Our first meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 13th.

Groups & Studies begin Sept. 6 at 6pm!!
  • Nursery: Care for children birth through 2 years
  • Awana: Bible learning, games & fun for children ages 3-6th grade
  • Iron Youth Jr. & Sr. High: Pastor Luke provides fun & Bible learning for grades 6-12. Room 10|Youth Room (Iron Forge)
  • Adult Bible Study: Pastor Paul is continuing his study on the book of Zechariah. Room 224/226 (3rd floor above offices) Resumes 9/13!!
  • Ladies’ Open Door Bible Study: We will be studying ABIDE by Jen Wilkin, a 10 week study on 1, 2, & 3 John. Wednesday evening
    sessions will begin on 9/6 at 6:00pm. Tuesday morning sessions will begin on 9/12 at 9:00am. Suggested book donation is $24. Childcare is

  • Devoted Couples Study: We’ll be studying “The Crazy Cycle in Marriage” by Dr Emerson Eggerichs. Join us as we study God’s design for marriage and challenge each other to live it out. Led by Pastor John & Shelly. Back of the sanctuary
  • Divorce Care Group: For married, separated, divorced men and women. Suggested Donation for books is $15. Begins 9/6 in Room 105 (2nd floor hallway that parallels the gym)
 
FBC Connect Class Begins 9/24 | 9:15AM – If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or becoming a member, then this is your class! This 3-part class will take place in the Conference Room (across from the church office) during the Sunday School hour. Let us know by calling the office, (570) 275-1511.
