Family Meal on Wednesday
Served: 4:45-5:45PM | Suggested Donation is $3/person or $10/family
Sign Up by Monday: Ramp Bulletin Board, in SBS class or call the office
Menu: Pork Loin Sweet Potato Sheet Pan Dinner & the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time.
Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for special needs are free of charge.
 
PRAYER WALK Due to the impending weather, we are moving the Prayer Walk to Sunday, Sept. 24th. We look forward to having many people there and seeing what God will do as we pray for our community!

Bells of Joy are Back Handbell choir is starting up for the Fall. Now is a great time to check it out! Our first rehearsal is tomorrow night from 6-7:15pm in the Bell Room. Note: you need to be able to read music.
 
“SAY YES” Wall Volunteer opportunities are being added weekly. Make sure you check it out and prayerfully consider where you can serve. Ministry Heads, if you are looking for help, let the office know and we will get it on the wall.
 
Sensory-Friendly Worship Area! “A shush-free, judgment-free zone where ALL can safely learn about God!” Our chapel has been fitted with wiggle seats, fidget toys, dimmable lights, noise-canceling headphones, a calming
special-effect light and more! We welcome all who have unique needs to enjoy this area during our services.
 
FBC Connect Class Coming Soon Begins 9/24 | 9:15AM – If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or becoming a member, then this is your class! This 3-part class will take place in the Conference Room (across from the church office) during the Sunday School hour. Let us know on your connect card or call the office. (570) 275-1511.
 
New Sunday Bible School Class Opportunity We are thinking of starting a new adult Sunday School class 10/8 to go through Paul David Tripp’s book “Do You Believe?”. If you are looking for a Sunday School class or would be interested in attending, please let us know by signing up on the ramp bulletin board or in Main Lobby.
 
Care & Concern Ministry began in October 2003 and is a group of some of the biggest hearts around. This ministry has lifted the hearts of many as the love of Christ is shared in a practical & much needed way. Contact the office if you would like to be on our call list. Provide your contact number and area(s) where you can serve. They help out in the following areas as their gifts and abilities allow:
  • Make and take meals to those who have had babies, surgery or are going through a tough time
  • Drive people to appointments
  • Sit with the homebound
  • Help with lawn care
  • Shovel snow off walk ways and driveways
  • Light cleaning
 
Seats & Feets The Good Samaritan is hosting a Socks & Underwear Drive. They are collecting NEW socks & underwear for students in the Danville School District, ages K-12 boys & girls. Place the items in the designated baskets in the Main Lobby and gym areas. Donations are due by Nov. 5. Good Sam. will then distribute among the schools.

Project Love October 14-15, 2023

Lost Something? The closet has been updated with items that could belong to you. You may just find that missing jacket, Bible or water bottle. The Lost & Found Closet is located next to the kitchen.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is starting a new season! Our new theme is about Saying Yes to this year, in this place, with these people! Hope to see you there. Our first meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 13th. Say yes!…
