FBC Connect Class Starting 10/1, 10/8 | 9:15AM If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or becoming a member, then this is your class! It is held in the Conference Room across from the office.
 
PRAYER WALK Sunday after 2nd service starting at Canal St. Park Amphitheater. Rain or shine! Bring water & a snack. Wear comfy shoes. 
 
Fall Business Meeting Thurs. @ 7PM – Please join us in the chapel as we discuss various items that are happening here at church. We value your input! You can pick up a copy of the report in the main lobby & gym areas.  (One per family, please)
 
Football Chapel is this Friday at 10am in the Iron Forge.  Students meet on Friday mornings prior to games for devotions, prayer, and breakfast!
 
Interest in New Sunday School Class! We are thinking of starting a new adult Sunday School class to begin October 8 going through Paul David Tripp’s book “Do You Believe?”.  If you are looking for a Sunday School class or would be interested in attending, please let us know by signing up on the ramp bulletin board or in Main Lobby. 
 
FYI! Fire Drill! Our Security Team will be conducting a fire drill on Oct. 15 during the Sunday School hour.  More info to come.  Rain date is Oct. 22.

Fishnet Meeting This Week This group of amazing ladies will be meeting again on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please call Donna Outt.

Menu: Spaghetti & Meatballs, Salad, Texas Toast & the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time. 
Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for special needs are free of charge. 
 
Project Love October 14-15, 2023 REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! SIGN UP TODAY! Follow the Facebook page “Project Love-Danville, PA” for the latest information. Oct. 14 is the Day of Service. Signup on the Project Love website. www.projectlovedanvillepa.com. Oct 15 is the Night of Worship at the Danville Middle School. Save the date and get ready for an amazing gospel weekend. Available projects:
  • Cleaning Handball Court, DACC—9:30-12p (middle school & up)
  • Washing, vacuuming, organizing; Friendship Fire Co—9:30a-1p (middle school & up)
  • Deep Cleaning inside & out, Geisinger House of Care—9:30a-12:30p (ages 16 & up)
  • Painting, Montour Delong Fair—9:30a-1p (middle school & up)
  • Sing-a-longs, crafts, bingo, fingernail painting; Vintage Knolls—1-4p (3rd grade & up)
  • Painting, DACC—9:30a-12p (high school & up)
  • Hymn sing, muffins, pumpkin painting; Grandview Nursing Home 9:30-11:30a (all ages)
  • Cleanup & maintenance to trails, Montour Preserve—9:40a-11:40a (3rd grade & up)

Candy Collection & Help for Trunk-or-Treat – The Danville Primary School will be hosting their 3rd Annual Trunk-or-Treat event on 10/25 from 5-7pm and FBC will have a trunk present! Here are a few ways you can help:
  • Pray for safety & that the gospel would reach searching hearts
  • Candy donations! Donation bins are located in main foyer and gym
  • Help with event! Call the office if you want to get in on the fun!
  • Pack treat bags on Thursday , Oct 19 @ 10AM in the gym
 
Tacos with the Team FOR NEW ATTENDERS!! NEXT SUNDAY after the 2nd service in gym. Come for a chance to meet the pastors and staff during an informal lunch. Interested?? Sign up in the lobby, gym, or your Sunday School class.
 
The Barnabas Basket is a monthly food collection that takes place on the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday). All donations are given to the Danville Food Bank. The basket will be located in the main foyer. October’s Need: Noodles & Macaroni
 
Seats & Feet The Good Samaritan is hosting a Socks & Underwear Drive. They are collecting NEW socks & underwear for students in the Danville School District, ages K-12 boys & girls.  Please place the items in the designated baskets in the Main Lobby and gym areas.  
Donations are due by Nov. 5.  Good Samaritan will then distribute among the schools.
 
Awana Connect Regional Event for Pastors, Awana Directors & Leaders – October 6 –7 – Join us in the gym for a chance to connect with other leaders, be equipped with ministry tools & be refreshed with stories of resilience.  There will be lectures, breakout sessions, meals, and a keynote speaker.  RSVP to bobb@awana.org  Two day price $25 | One day $15 Includes meals & resources
