Trunk or Treat – THIS Wednesday! 5:30-7:30PM – Sign-up today in the main foyer to lock in your group’s theme!

Haiti Support Letters – The Haiti Mission Team is getting ready to go on their trip November 10-17! If you would like to support their trip, letters are available in the main lobby.
 
Lost Anything Recently? Check our Lost & Found! It will be out on display in the gym until 11/4. Anything left over will be donated to Haiti or elsewhere.
 
Fishnet Partners! Fishnet Ministries processes large quantities of goods that will be sent to the mission field. This Thursday, they will be working on processing eye glasses in Room 9 from 9-12pm. All are welcome!
 
The Fall Business Meeting is on Wednesday, October 31 at 6:30PM in the chapel. We will receive reports from our boards and get updates on upcoming events and business. Everyone is invited to attend, members only may vote.
 
Coffee Hour Help Needed – The Sunday morning Coffee Hour group would like to add another friendly face to their team! If you are interested circle “C” on your connect card! Any questions, contact Christine Puccio.
 
Check Out the Tract Rack! Halloween Tracts and 2019 calendars are now available at the Tract Rack located in the main lobby. You’ll find many other resources there like Our Daily Bread and much more!
 
No Midweek Meal on 10/24 or 10/31 Family Dinners will resume on 11/7!
 
October is Pastor Appreciation Month! Card boxes have been setup on a table in the main foyer if you would like to bless the pastors & their families with a card.
 
Brian Stamm’s Memorial Service – Brian was a legend in Danville wrestling who was a state champion, part of the state championship team, honored as an NCAA Division III All-American and inducted into the District IV Wrestling Hall of Fame. He went on to marry Lori and have a wonderful family which included 7 children. He faithfully served his Jesus and was very active in his local church. After a 7 year battle with cancer, he passed away at the age of 43. His mother, Norene, is FBC family and invites you to remember her son with her on Sunday 10/28 at 3pm with a time of fellowship to follow in the BFLC.
 
Special L.E.A.D. Luncheon Coming Soon! God’s Champions Special Needs Ministry is inviting Hand in Hand Family Resource Center to provide a training called L.E.A.D.- Leaders Embracing All-Abilities and Diversity. The training includes tips and information on interacting appropriately with people with disabilities with the goal of a more inclusive environment. Help our church take a LEAD in embracing individuals with special needs! When: November 11, 2018 Time: Luncheon after 10:30 church service – Training at 1:00 Sign up by Nov.4th on the ramp bulletin board or in the office
 
FBC is Hosting the Jubilee Kitchen on November 17. Monetary donations and desserts would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Diane Gelbaugh if you are interested in making a dessert. Donations can be put in the Love Offering envelopes with “Jubilee Kitchen” noted on them. Checks can be made out to FBC with “Jubilee Kitchen” noted in the memo.
 
Football Chapel: The next football chapel is on Friday, 11/2 at 6:30am. Big hearts are needed to make and serve breakfast to the football team and cheerleaders. Interested in helping? Circle “F” on your connect card!
 
Welcome Danville-Riverside Food Bank! The Danville-Riverside Food Bank was established more than 30 years ago and now serves over 530 people on the second Saturday of each month! It is located in the basement of Shiloh UCC at 500 Bloom Street, Danville. Ways You Can Help!
  • Donate Food to the FBC Barnabas Basket and/or Feed-a-Friend
  • Volunteer on the 2nd Saturday of the month – 7AM-1PM
  • Be the FBC Rep on their board! Talk to MarySue Christian Today!
 
College Care Ministry – Mid-terms will be here before you know it!! The donation box is in the kitchen foyer until October 28.

Hurricane Relief – If you’d like to help Global Aid Network financially, feel free to put your donation in the Love Offering envelope located in the pew rack and note “hurricane” on the envelope. If you would like to donate by check, please make it out to FBC and note “hurricane” in the memo.
 
Awana Kiddos are Collecting Pet Food! If you would like to donate, bins are located in the Springer Chapel lobby as well as the BFLC (gym) foyer during the month of October.
 
School Supplies for Haiti – The Haiti Team is collecting school supplies for the children of Haiti. They’ll distribute them on their November mission trip. Please leave your donations of the following suggested items in the basket outside the kitchen.Ball Point Pens

  • Wooden Pencils
  • Notebooks of graph paper
  • Erasers (not a slip-on pencil eraser)
  • Small individual pencil sharpeners
  • Small tubes of toothpaste
  • Notebooks of lined paper/tablets
 
Feed-A-Friend of Montour County – Collection basket will be in the Main Foyer until October 28th! Top Suggestions: Canned items such as vegetables, tuna, cranberry sauce, fruit – Pasta, Mac & Cheese, Soup, Boxed Stuffing, etc. No refrigerated or frozen items, please.
