Project: Surprise Valentine! Grab an envelope in the lobby for someone who could use a little extra love this season. It could be a shut in, someone going through cancer, experiencing grief, or someone just needing encouragement. Send them notes, cards, homemade drawings, or any special idea you come up with. Our challenge: Don’t stop at one, grab your directory and send out several others to show love to our church family or to someone who has blessed you this past year.
Giving Reports Have Been MailedReports were mailed out last week. If you do not receive your report in the mail within the next week, please give us a call at 570-275-1511.
Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund blesses those financially hurting in our church family. If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope.
Open Pickleball Anyone is welcome to come play in the gym Tuesdays at 7pm.
Fishnet Meeting This Week! This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Linda.

Menu: Chicken Spaghetti, Salad and the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time.

Awana Derby Workshop – FRIDAY, FEB. 13 – 6-8PM – Parents/Guardians and their kiddos will be working on their derby cars to get them ready for the Awana Grand Prix on Saturday, Feb. 21. Want to help? Contact Katie Yarger at katie@danvillefirstbaptist.org. Any tools/materials you want to bring would be appreciated, but are not necessary. We are looking for carpenters to help out parents/guardians at each of the following work stations at the workshop:
- Wood Cutting
- Sanding
- Painting
- Wheels n Axles
- Weigh Station
Jr. Children’s Church We are looking for teachers and helpers to serve in our Jr. Kidz ministry which happens during the message in the 10:30 service. It would be a 1x/month commitment. If you are interested, please contact Katie.
Fight Club Chapter 2 Fight Club is a 10-week journey made by men for men to challenge one another to grow deeper spiritually, physically, relationally, and intellectually. For more info, contact Pastor John at pjohn@danvillefirstbaptist.org. Info and signups are in the lobby. Kickoff bonfire is Friday, Feb. 27, 10pm-midnight here at FBC.
Care & Concern Ministry began in October 2003 and is a group of some of the biggest hearts around. This ministry has lifted the hearts of many as the love of Christ is shared in a practical & much needed way. Contact the office if you would like to be on our call list. Let us know your contact number and area(s) where you can serve. They help out in the following areas as their gifts and abilities allow:
- Make and take meals to those who have had babies, surgery or are going through a tough time
- Drive people to appointments
- Sit with the homebound
- Help with lawn care
- Shovel snow off walkways and driveways
- Light cleaning
Joni & Friends Family Retreat Signups are now open! You can make a powerful difference by volunteering with a heart to bring help & hope to people with disabilities. Whether serving one-on one, helping with crafts, leading Bible study or times of worship, you will make a lasting impact in the name of Jesus. Training provided before event. Ladies’ Walking Group is this Thursday @ 6:30pm. This group is for ladies of all ages and walking abilities. Over the winter we meet in Room 6 (behind the gym). Come enjoy a time of fitness, fellowship, and community.
