Missionary Dessert Reception – TODAY at 6pm with Barry & Peggy Owen, Serving in Taiwan with World Venture – Any and all desserts would be appreciated! Please bring them to the kitchen for the 6PM service in the chapel.

Office Holiday Hours – Please note, the Church Office will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving.

Fall into a Good Book Lately? Stop by our Library and rake in a bunch of good reads! Who knows what adventures you’ll go on as you leaf through the pages! The Library is located across from the Nurseries and is open 8:45-10:30am on Sundays and 5:45-7:30pm on Wednesdays.

Fishnet Partners – Fishnet Ministries processes large quantities of goods that will be sent to the mission field. Next Thursday, they will be working in Room 9 on processing eye glasses in the BFLC from 9-12pm. All are welcome!

Thanksgiving Offering Envelopes are located in the pews for anyone who would like to donate. This offering will be split between Christmas gifts for our missionaries and funding for a disaster relief trip currently in the planning stages.

Thanksgiving Eve Service is November 21 at 7:00 PM. There will be no Midweek Ministries or Meal November 21st. Both will resume on 11/28.

Moms In Prayer International has a chapter here at FBC! The group meets in the conference room on Thursdays at 9:45am. “We believe God changes lives and whole communities forever when moms gather together to pray”. If you are a mom, aunt, grandmother, guardian, woman of prayer, come join us!

Missionary Newsletters Arrive Each Week! Take a moment to pick one up outside of the chapel. You will be rewarded with a new appreciation for our missionary families and have the ability to pray more specifically for their needs.

Power for Living & Weekly Prayer Sheets are available every Sunday. They are located at the Info Desk in the main lobby and in the wall display outside of the Sunday Bible School office (lower level). Prayer sheets can also be found at the back of the sanctuary near the large print bulletins.

The Feed-a-Friend program gave food baskets to 383 families in our community!
Diane Gelbaugh, who coordinated the Jubilee Kitchen’s Thanksgiving meal yesterday, was overwhelmed with the generous support from the congregation. The youth had a great time helping to serve the meal as part of their 30 Hour Famine event.

Thanksgiving Offering Envelopes are located in the pew racks for the next few Sundays. Donations will go toward Christmas gifts for the missionaries that we support as well as funding towards an upcoming short term relief missions trip. We’ll have more info on the trip to come.

Fishnet Partners Fishnet Ministries processes large quantities of goods that will be sent to the mission field. This Thursday, they will be working in Room 9 on processing eye glasses in the BFLC from 9-12pm. All are welcome!

Midweek Meal: Wednesday, November 14: Dinner is served 4:45-5:45 PM. This week’s menu is Pork BBQ Sandwiches & Chicken Noodle Soup & the desserts you bring. Please sign up by Monday, 11/12 on the Ramp Bulletin Board, in your SBS class or by calling the office. Suggested donation for meals is $3/person or $10/family. If you know of a shut-in or elderly person and would be willing to deliver a meal to them, it is free of charge. Please put their name on the sign up sheet and indicate “Shut-In”.
Desserts are on a donation basis, so feel free to share a dessert any time.

L.E.A.D. Luncheon Postponed! Stay tuned for the new date!

Barnabas Sunday – During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket is in the Foyer today. November’s need is for Tuna & Canned Meats.

Special L.E.A.D. Luncheon Next Sunday! God’s Champions Special Needs Ministry is inviting Hand in Hand Family Resource Center to provide a training called L.E.A.D.- Leaders Embracing All-Abilities and Diversity. The training includes tips and information on interacting appropriately with people with disabilities with the goal of a more inclusive environment. Help our church take a LEAD in embracing individuals with special needs! When: November 11, 2018 Time: Luncheon after 10:30 church service – Training at 1:00 Sign up by TODAY on the ramp bulletin board or in the office.

Football Chapel is This Friday 11/9 at 6:30am. Big hearts are needed to make and serve breakfast to the football team and cheerleaders. Interested in helping? Contact the church office.

Pictures of Veterans Needed – During our Veterans Day Sunday services, FBC would like to honor any veteran who has served. Please send in a picture of your veteran in military dress, if possible, to the church office by November 6th. Please also include their name and which branch of the military they served in. All pictures in last year’s Veterans Day slide show will be included in this year’s slide show. You do not have to re-submit pictures.

Fall Business Meeting – 6:30 pm | Wednesday 10/31 | Chapel – We are excited about how the Lord is working in and through our fellowship! Join us as we discuss ministry reports, Building Committee findings, wifi wiring update, new members and more! All welcome, but only members can vote.

LuoPad Team – Join us the first Thursday of every month at 9:30am as we continue to assemble LuoPads in the BFLC. This is an ongoing mission through GAiN that provides sanitary undergarments to women all over the world! We’d love to have you join us! If you’d like sewing lessons so you can help out, contact Patty Miller.

Special Thanks from the LuoPad Team! We have not only reached our goal of 500 kits, but have exceeded it with a grand total of 530! Thank you so much for all of your donations!

Brian Stamm’s Memorial Service is Today Brian was a legend in Danville wrestling who was a state champion, part of the state championship team, honored as an NCAA Division III All-American and inducted into the District IV Wrestling Hall of Fame. He went on to marry Lori and have a wonderful family which included 7 children. He faithfully served his Jesus and was very active in his local church. After a 7 year battle with cancer, he passed away at the age of 43. His mother, Norene, is FBC family and invites you to remember her son with her on Sunday 10/28 at 3pm with a time of fellowship to follow in the BFLC.

Missionary Dessert Reception TODAY (10/7) at 6pm with Lucas & Bekah Grudda. Join us to encourage and be encouraged as the Gruddas share their plans to return to Senegal, serving with World Venture! Any and all desserts would be appreciated! Please bring them to the kitchen. Barnabas Sunday During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket is in the Foyer today. October’s need is for noodles and macaroni.

Midweek Meal: Wednesday, October 10: Dinner is served 4:45-5:45 PM. This week’s menu is Foil-Wrapped Ranch Chicken & Broccoli with Garlic & Herb Potatoes, Applesauce & the desserts you bring. Trim Healthy Mama Are you looking for a healthier eating lifestyle? Maybe you have heard of Trim Healthy Mama and would like to know more or have already started and are completely overwhelmed. Following the 10:30am service on October 14, you are invited to our THM group meeting. A potluck dinner will be held, sharing THM dishes and recipes, as well as discussion about the program. RSVP to Rachel Renno by October 10.

The Forge: A Regional Ministry for Men meets on Tuesdays at 7PM in the gym. Our mission is to support one another in life, faith and personal growth with Trust, Confidentiality, and Authenticity. There will be faith based teaching and small group discussion. Light refreshments available.

Care & Concern Ministry began in October ‘03 and is a group of some of the biggest hearts around. They make and take meals to those who have had babies, surgery, or are going through a tough time. They also provide transportation to shut-ins needing a ride to doctors’ appointments as well! If you are interested in join this team of big hearts, please circle “C” on your bulletin and mention if you are interested in making meals, transportation, or both!

LuoPad Team Join us the first Thursday of every month at 9:30am as we continue to assemble LuoPads in the BFLC. This is an ongoing mission through GAiN that provides sanitary undergarments to women all over the world! We’d love to have you join us! If you’d like sewing lessons so you can help out, contact Patty Miller.

Hurricane Relief – Responding with Aid, Restoring Dignity, and Revealing Hope – With all that we’ve been seeing in the news, you might be asking, “How can I help?” Global Aid Network, who was just here for our seed and food packing event, are already on the ground! They are in places like Wilmington, NC with trucks filled with disaster relief supplies as they work on initial damage assessments and sharing Jesus’ love. If you’d like to help them financially, feel free to put your donation in the Love Offering envelope located in the pew rack and note “hurricane” on the envelope. If you would like to donate by check, please make it out to FBC and note “hurricane” in the memo.

Children’s Church Has Begun!! Children’s Church is a program for children ages 4 to 4th grade that takes place on Sundays during our 10:30am service.

Come & Help in The Kitchen! We are looking for big hearts to help us out in the kitchen on Wednesday evenings. Here’s how you can help & the estimated time needed; Food Prep (3 hours), Setup (1 hour), Serving (1.5 hours) & Clean-up (1.5 hours).

Haiti Team Meeting Today (9/16) at 3:00pm in the Chapel. Don’t forget to mark your calendar for these upcoming training meetings on 10/21 and 11/4. You don’t want to miss these! Ladies Open Door Bible Study will be going through the book of Colossians as they study Gloria Furman’s book Raised Together. Sound Tech: Love music? Have an ear to hear the different instruments in a song? We will equip you to mix and run our sound boards for our radio and sanctuary sound ministry. Interested?
