Gifts Due Today for Christmas Tree of Love & Christmas Gifts for Truckers
 
Project Christmas Card – Goal: Send 500 Christmas cards to prisoners in the Columbia, Montour and Northumberland County Prisons. We had cards specifically made for this project which are available at the Info Desk and Welcome Table in the gym. Info cards will direct you in how best to fill out the card. Take an Info Card and as many cards as you like and return them to the office by December 20. Our prison ministry team will deliver them to the prisons.

For Christmas Eve we would like to arrange a virtual choir of the song “Is He Worthy.”  If you would like to participate, please visit www.danvillefirstbaptist.org/choir for details. This year’s suggestions are hand sanitizers, oral hygiene products, shampoo, shaving products, deodorant, lotions, books of stamps, air fresheners, gift certificates for common restaurants or coffee shops or sunglasses! Items can be dropped off anytime until NEXT SUNDAY in the collection box outside of the Kitchen.

Christmas Tree of Love – Christmas is a time of giving! You will find the Tree of Love in the kitchen foyer by the gym entrance. Each ornament represents a person and a gift request or suggestion. As God leads you, please take an ornament from the tree and return it unwrapped in a Christmas-style gift bag to the church office by December 13th. Please keep the ornament with the gift so we can get it to the right person. If you are giving a gift card, please attach the receipt and/or the activation slip with the gift card.

Thanksgiving Service is Virtual This Year! Our virtual service will be live streamed via our YouTube channel and Facebook page at 7pm on Wednesday! Gather together with friends and family to watch and be encouraged!!

Calling All Thankful Videos!! Giving Opportunity Donations given to our Fellowship Fund are used to assist those in our church who are struggling during these hard times. “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.” Proverbs 19:17

36th Annual Feed-a-Friend 2020 is Here! This program is designed to help provide a Thanksgiving meal to those who cannot afford it. Last year 420 families and over 1000 individuals were assisted! If you’d like to help out, here’s how:
Monetary Donations – checks can be made out to Good Samaritan & mailed to Feed a Friend, c/o Good Samaritan Mission, PO Box 114, Danville, PA 17821.
Food Items – can be dropped off in our main foyer: canned veggies & soup, boxed stuffing & potatoes, noodles, pasta & sauce are recommended.
 
Socks & Underwear for Back-to-School – Good Samaritan here in Danville has begun their annual collection to support school nurses and the Mission Center. Please direct donations to Good Samaritan. Checks should be made out to Good Samaritan and mailed to The Good Samaritan Mission, PO Box 114, Danville, PA 17821. Items (smaller sizes preferred) should be dropped off at their Mission Center on Ferry Street, Tuesday or Thursday 9a-12p.

While Nursery Attendants will not be provided just yet, we welcome parents of kiddos ages 0-3 to relax in our baby and toddler nurseries located on the lower level. NEW! Parents can now watch the service live on new TVs in the nurseries. You won’t miss a thing! The Gym is Open to Watch the Service! NEW! Tables and chairs will be provided with some kiddo-friendly options available for a more relaxed environment to watch the service live on the big screen. Feel free to bring your camp chair if it’s more comfortable than a metal folding chair. Friendly Reminder – At this time, we ask that masks be worn in all areas of the building (masks are available at the Info Desk & gym welcome table).

Ladies Grief Group Has Started Up! All women going through the grief of a loss, whether it be a loved one, a broken relationship, etc. are welcome to join. They’ll be studying the book, “Therefore I Have Hope” by Cameron Cole. Suggested donation of $13.
 
Prayer Walk – This Tuesday @ 6PM! Join Pastor Luke and the Danville Student Coalition at the high school as they pray for students, teachers and more.
 
Blood Drive Tomorrow! Stop by the BFLC (gym) from 1-6pm. The Red Cross is in need of blood and is taking every precaution to keep everyone safe during their collections.
