Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages. If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope.

Red Cross Blood Drive will be here next Monday, Oct 10th, in the BFLC (gym) from 12:30-5:30pm. The Red Cross is in need of blood and is taking every precaution to keep everyone safe during their collections. Sign up to donate at redcross.org

Unto Warehouse Packing Day – October 22, 2022 – We’ll be headed again to the Unto Warehouse, 1506 Quarry Rd, Mt Joy, PA 17552 to pack a variety of items. Food packing times are 9:30 – 11:30am. Be there by 9am to sign in. Close-toed shoes are required at the warehouse. If you want to stay longer you can also pack clothing, shoes, Luo pads, blankets, gospel bracelets & other items in the afternoon. Children are welcome to serve with their parents! Lunch is provided. NEW! Devoted Couples Study – Love Like You Mean It gives husbands and wives a biblical understanding of what real love looks like in marriage by unpacking the ten attributes of genuine love listed in 1 Corinthians 13. Bob Lepine, marriage and family expert and host of the nationally syndicated radio program FamilyLife Today, helps husbands and wives discover that it’s not primarily emotions that define marital love, but actions and decisions that fuel emotions and cause marital love to grow. Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Donna Outt.

Sensory-Friendly Worship Area “A shush-free, judgment-free zone where ALL can safely learn about God!” Our chapel has been fitted with wiggle seats, fidget toys, dimmable lights, noise-canceling headphones, a calming special-effect light and more! We welcome all who have unique needs to enjoy this area during both services!

MOPS REGISTRATION OPEN Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is part of an international movement to connect moms who have one or more children ages birth to kindergarten. Their goal is to provide you with a tribe of supportive women as you navigate the world of motherhood, faith, and life together. We are back in the building! If you or someone you know feels called to serve in the MOPs ministry, we would love some volunteers to pour into our kiddos in the nursery during our meetings the 2nd Wed. of the month, Sept-May, 9-11am, here at FBC. New Grandbaby! Elaine Borgese welcomed Juniper Rae Borgese to the family Aug 12th. Parents Eddye & Danica and big brother Dash are thrilled!

Family Meal Sign-ups begin next week! Sign up sheets will be available in adult Sunday school classes, on the ramp bulletin board and in the Friday newsletters. Signing up you and/or your family for the Wednesday family meal is a tremendous help to our kitchen team so they know how much food to make. The Kitchen team will continue their ministry to our sweet shut-ins! If you would like to bring a meal to a shut-in, sign them up, note ”shut-in” and the kitchen team will box the meal up for you to pick up.

They will be studying God of Freedom by Jen Wilkin.This 10 session video Bible study on Exodus 19-40 which explores what freedom looks like for the Israelites under God’s good rule and good laws. This study walks through verse-by-verse, revisiting scenes from the Ten Commandments, golden calf idle worship, and the tabernacle. Jen Wilkin invites you to discover a new perspective on Exodus and what these stories can teach us today about how to live as those set free from sin and death. Zoom available on Wed evenings..

While the moms are attending Bible Study Tuesday morning, children ages 4 through 4th grade, will be enjoying their own enrichment classes. This program includes gym, music/art, Bible and a snack time. Nursery is available for the littles.

Devoted A class dedicated to following God’s design for marriage and challenging one another to live it out. This group led by Pastor John & Shelly Messner will be meeting Wed. nights at 6pm in the back of the sanctuary beginning
Sept. 7th.

Divorce Care Divorced? Separated? Struggling in your marriage? Divorce Care is a special seminar and support group that will walk with you through topics like, What’s happening to me?, Facing My Anger, KidCare, Forgiveness, Financial Survival and more. Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meet on Thursdays from 9:15am-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Donna Outt.

Active Retired Men in Service: Thursdays @ 8:30AM. This great group of guys meet for devotions, prayer time and lots of fellowship! Following their group time, they also help out around the church as well. Come on over!

Kitchen Team Meeting Tuesday @ 6:30pm in the chapel for anyone interested in helping with the midweek meals. This includes cooking, setup, serving and cleanup. Spice up our kitchen by using your gifts and talents in this area!

Football Chapel Starting Soon! First Football Chapel is this Friday @ 10am, special time! Games for the Danville High School Football team are upon us, as are football chapels! The students normally meet at 6:55am on Friday mornings prior to games for prayer and devotions…and breakfast!!

Iron Youth Kickoff is Coming!! August 31, 5:30-8pm for grades 6-12. Lots of fun activities including an inflatable, slip-n-slide, treats and more. There will be a short parent/guardian meeting at 7pm.

MOPS REGISTRATION NOW OPEN Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is part of an international movement to connect moms who have one or more children ages birth to kindergarten. Their goal is to provide you with a tribe of supportive women as you navigate the world of motherhood, faith, and life together. We are back in the building! If you or someone you know feels called to serve in the MOPs ministry, we would love some volunteers to pour into our kiddos in the nursery during our meetings the 2nd Wed. of the month, Sept-May, 9-11am, here at FBC. This is the Last Week!!! Our Library welcomes kiddos from Kindergarten to 6th grade to take part in the Summer Scripture Reading Challenge! Stop in at our Library and pick up your challenge card and earn a prize once you have completed your mission! A parent/guardian signature is required on your completed card for prize eligibility. Cards are due by NEXT SUNDAY!

Montour-Delong Vesper Service Tomorrow Night @ 7pm. Worship by FBC Praise Team, Candlelight by 4-H, Free Will Offering – (Montour Co. K-9 Unit & EOS Therapeutic Riding Center). Join us at the fair’s pavilion – 5848 Broadway Road, Danville.

Barnabas Sunday is TOMORROW! Danville Food Bank need for August is Saltines and Peanut Butter. The basket is located in the main lobby.

Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages . If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope.

Kitchen Call!! Do you enjoy cooking? How about helping in the kitchen? Or setting up the dining area? Maybe even dishwashing! This well-loved ministry will be back in action soon and needs help! Call the office if you are interested!

Happening Next Sunday The Barnabas Basket is a monthly food collection that takes place on the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday). All donations are given to the Danville Food Bank. The basket will be located in main foyer. August’s Need: Peanut Butter & Saltines.
