Sensory-Friendly Worship Area “A shush-free, judgment-free zone where ALL can safely learn about God!” Our chapel has been fitted with wiggle seats, fidget toys, dimmable lights, noise-canceling headphones, a calming special-effect light and more!   1. College Care Package Donations DUE: SUNDAY (10/22)!! Donation bin is located by the Kitchen. Monetary donations are gratefully accepted to help with postage. Please designate “College ministry”. Help us pack and pray over the boxes tomorrow @ 6pm!
  2. Seats & Feet – The Good Samaritan is collecting NEW socks & underwear for students in the DASD, ages K-12 boys & girls. Please place the items in the designated baskets in the Main Lobby and gym areas. Donations are due by Nov. 5. Good Samaritan will then distribute among the schools.
  3. Feed-A-Friend of Montour County – Collection basket will be in the Main Foyer for the month of October! Top Suggestions: Canned items such as vegetables, tuna, cranberry sauce, fruit – Pasta, Mac & Cheese, Soup, Boxed Stuffing, etc. No refrigerated or frozen items, please.

Pictures of Veterans Needed FBC would like to honor any veteran who has served. Please send in a picture of your veteran in military dress, if possible, to the church office by November 1st. Young Life is in need of a van! Young Life is a mission devoted to introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. Several area churches involved with Young Life are purchasing a van for Brandon Casey (area leader) to use in transporting students to various functions. If you would like to give towards this ministry, please put it in an envelope designating Young Life and place in one of the offering boxes.

“SAY YES” Wall Volunteer opportunities are being added weekly. Make sure you check it out and prayerfully consider where you can serve. Ministry Heads, if you are looking for help, let the office know and we will get it on the wall.
 
Care & Concern Ministry began in October ‘03 and is a group of some of the biggest hearts around. They make and take meals to those who have had babies, surgery or are going through a tough time. This ministry has lifted the hearts of many as the love of Christ is shared in a practical & much needed way. Let us know if you would like to be on our call list & provide the contact number you’d prefer.

Seats & Feet The Good Samaritan is hosting a Socks & Underwear Drive. They are collecting NEW socks & underwear for students in the Danville School District, ages K-12 boys & girls. Please place the items in the designated baskets in the Main Lobby and gym areas.
Donations are due by Nov. 5. Good Samaritan will then distribute among the schools.

Menu: Pork Loin Sweet Potato Sheet Pan Dinner & the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time.
Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for special needs are free of charge.

This ministry has lifted the hearts of many as the love of Christ is shared in a practical & much needed way. Contact the office if you would like to be on our call list. Provide your contact number and area(s) where you can serve. They help out in the following areas as their gifts and abilities allow:
  • Make and take meals to those who have had babies, surgery or are going through a tough time
  • Drive people to appointments
  • Sit with the homebound
  • Help with lawn care
  • Shovel snow off walk ways and driveways
  • Light cleaning

Picnic with the Schaeffers David, Jillian and family are here with us Sunday!! Join us after the second service for a picnic in the park at
Sunnybrook (right down the road) where we will be hearing more from David and Jillian on what’s happening next. Hotdogs, hamburgers and desserts will be provided. Please bring a side dish and/or drinks to share. You may also want to bring a lawn chair.
The Barnabas Basket is a monthly food collection that takes place on the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday). All donations are given to the Danville Food Bank. The basket will be located in the main foyer. September’s Need: Canned Vegetables
