Coffeehouse Join us for an exciting night of talent at our first Coffeehouse/Talent Show! Whether it’s singing, comedy, lip-syncing, reciting poetry, or a hidden talent, we want to see it. Everyone is welcome to participate or just come and enjoy the show. Register on our homepage. Signups Due: 2/26. Material Due: 3/5 (for approval)

God’s Blueprint for Manhood This new Sunday School class is open to all men. Come join us as we look at the character qualities God wants to form in every man as found in 1 Timothy and Titus. We will be using this course as a foundation for developing church leaders. Please sign up so we have an idea of how many will be attending. Sign ups are in the main lobby and gym. The class will start March 12th. Location TBD.

Missionary Reception for Joaquin Vargas with Global One80 is next Sunday at 6PM. Come encourage and be encouraged as well as we hear how God is working. Dessert donations greatly appreciated.

Joni & Friends Meeting There will be an informational meeting, about the summer mission trip to Joni & Friends on Sunday at 9:15am in the conference room. Anyone interested in going is welcome to attend!!

Awana Derby Workshop THIS FRIDAY, FEB. 17 – 6-8PM – Parents/Guardians and their kiddos will be working on their derby cars to get them ready for the Awana Grand Prix on Saturday, Feb. 25. Want to help? Contact the church office. Any tools/materials you want to bring would be appreciated, but are not necessary. We are looking for carpenters to help out parents/guardians at each of the following work stations at the workshop:

Wood Cutting
Sanding
Painting
Wheels n Axles
Weigh Station

Dessert Reception! Join us in the gym on Sunday, Feb. 26th at 6pm for a special time of hearing from Joaquin Vargas and how God is working in and through him and his family. Come encourage and be encouraged as well. Desserts are greatly appreciated!

Security Clearance Update: Are your Child Safe Church clearances up to date? Please check the updated list on the bulletin board in the Sunday School office.

Red Cross Blood Drive will be here next Monday, February 13, in the BFLC (gym) from 12:30-5:30PM. The Red Cross is in need of blood and is taking every precaution to keep everyone safe during their collections.

Our Next Worship Night will be on Sunday, February 19th at 7pm in the chapel. If you haven’t been to one yet, it is a great informal time of worship and singing praise to our amazing God!

Save the Date!! Thursday, Feb. 23rd we will be having a day of prayer here at the church. You can come at specified times to pray with others or any other time during the day. More details to come!

Bells of Joy are Back! Handbell choir is starting up again for the spring. Now is a great time to check it out! The first rehearsal will be next

Annual Business Meeting – Saturday, January 28 @ 9AM – YES! There will be breakfast! Join us for sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches, breakfast potatoes and fresh cinnamon buns. Sign up on your connect card or in your Sunday School class and note how many will be attending with you. The meeting will take place in the gym once everyone has gotten their food. We encourage your attendance as there will be many important matters of discussion. We’ll be covering the following:

Voting on newly nominated Board & Committee members
Voting on Constitution revisions, budget & reports
Voting on a Trustee recommendation regarding the furnace

Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages. If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope.

Family Meal Wednesday
Served: 4:45-5:45PM | Suggested Donation is $3/person or $10/family
Sign Up by Monday: Ramp Bulletin Board, in SBS class or call the office
Menu: Hamburger BBQ, Mac & Cheese, Green Beans & the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time.
Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for
special needs are free of charge.

NYE 2022 BLOWOUT!! BRINGING IN 2023 WITH A BLAST! Grab your warmest coat. Join us outside on Saturday 12/31 at 7PM for food (s’mores & cookies), hot cocoa, fun, music and a short word from one of our pastors. Then, weather pending, a big fireworks display. Drive-in style parking will be available! *This is a great opportunity to invite your friends!! Door hangers are available on the table in the main lobby and Welcome Table in the gym.

Last call for 2022 Tax Credit If you would like to have tax credit for this year, tithes and/or donations must be received or post marked by Dec. 31st. Giving reports will be mailed out in January for tax purposes.

Midweek Meals Resume January 4th!!

Christmas Offering – This special offering will be divided between our Missions fund and the Fellowship Fund to help our widows with heating costs this winter! Special Christmas envelopes are available in pews and near offering boxes. Please note “Christmas” on donations.

Happening Next Sunday – The Barnabas Basket is a monthly food collection that takes place on the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday). All donations are given to the Danville Food Bank. The basket will be located in the main foyer. January’s Need: Canned Fruit

Because of Your Love in Action…

Christmas Gifts were delivered to 55 of our housebound church family December 17th & 18th! We were able to carol to 17 of our saints this year.
The Christmas Tree of Love program reached out & blessed 44 people in our community. A special thanks to Ruth Ann & Jim Hawkins for coordinating this program!
470 Christmas Cards were delivered to the Northumberland, Columbia and Montour county prisons and NCSTU.
