FALL BUSINESS MEETING, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21 ~ 6:30 PM, SPRINGER CHAPEL. All members & non members are encouraged to attend. We will evaluate finances & receive updates from our Boards & the Strategic Planning Committee.
Fall Business Meeting Proposals: The Deacons and Trustees will be presenting a motion to hire an architect to investigate the feasibility and costs of renovating the Beveridge Family Life Center for use as a worship facility while maintaining it’s capability for it’s current uses. The architect will also prepare options for enhancing our youth facilities. The architectural options, including cost, would be presented to the congregation at a later date. The Strategic Planning Committee is discussing the Sunday morning schedule and is considering an alternative to be reviewed by the
Deacon Board. The Strategic Planning committee is also discussing a proposal for specific training in evangelism and hospitality which will be presented to the Deacons for their review as well.

Please stop by one of the tables (in the foyer or outside the chapel) to pick up a Haiti 9 prayer letter.  Also check your name off the sheet.  This helps us know who  still needs to receive a lettter.

The Community Playgroup that has been meeting in the park over the summer is moving inside.  They will be meeting from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM in the BFLC on Mondays.  Parents and grandparents are invited to bring their little ones to enjoy play time with other children.

Exploring FBC will be offered at 9 AM for three Sundays (October 25, Nov. 1 and Nov. 8).  This is a class for those interested in finding out more about our church, baptism, and/or membership.  Please talk to Pastor Dawes with questions.

We are still looking for college student addresses:  It’s that time again to gather supplies/goodies to send to our college students.  There are forms at the Information Desk for parents to give address updates, a list of suggested items to send, AND a box right outside the kitchen door for those of you who wish to donate items to include in the boxes.  Items may be donated through October 25th.  Boxes will be packed on
October 26th.

A Health & Wellness Fair will be held in the Beveridge Family Life Center on October 22, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  This is a free event that is open to the public.  Thirty plus health and wellness associated vendors will provide information on a variety of subjects.

AWANA Food Collection:  During the month of October the AWANA kids are collecting dry & canned cat & dog food that will be given to the
Danville SPCA.  There is a bin located in the Chapel hallway where you can leave your donations.

November 21st is First Baptist’s turn to host the Jubilee Kitchen.  Chef Diane Gelbaugh needs monetary donations and desserts for this meal.  Please call her at 570-275-4880 if you can help.

New missionary letters are available this morning in the Chapel Hallway.  Stay informed and pray for our missionaries by reading their letters.

Power for Living & Weekly Prayer Sheets are available every Sunday.  Pick up prayer sheets at the Usher’s Table at the back of the
Sanctuary, the Information Desk, or the paper rack outside the Sunday School Office. Power for Living are available at the Usher’s
Table and in the paper rack.

Please stop by the Tract Rack.  There are new 2016 calendar cards as well as a variety of Halloween tracts that you can use to hand out along with your candy.
