Family Meal on Wednesday
Served: 4:45-5:45PM | Suggested Donation is $3/person or $10/family
Sign Up by Monday: Ramp Bulletin Board, in SBS class or call the office
Menu: Beef Tacos and all the fixings & the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time.
Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for special needs are free of charge.
 
Journeying with Jesus Sunday School Class is meeting again in Room 230, starting today! Pastor Paul will be leading this class in the interim and anyone is welcome to join.
 
Halloween is coming! Give your trick-or-treaters something sweeter than the candy you are handing out—the gospel!! Halloween-themed tracts are available at the Tract Rack for pickup during the month of October.
 
Awana needs your help! God has provided the kids, now we need more adults. Sparks (K-2nd) could use 1 more adult. T&T (3rd-6th) 1 female and 1 male. Let us know on your connect card if you are interested or connect with Katie katie@danvillefirstbaptist.org.
 
Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beye. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Donna Outt.
 
October is Pastor Appreciation Month Card Boxes are available in the foyer for card drop offs!
 
Missionary Reception Sunday @ 6pm – Felix & Amnerys Abreu with Missions Door, Dominican Republic – All are invited to see & hear what God is doing in and through the lives of our missionaries. Come encourage them and be encouraged as well. Dessert Donations Appreciated!!
 
Feed-A-Friend of Montour County Collection basket will be in the Main Foyer for the month of October! Top Suggestions: Canned items such as vegetables, tuna, cranberry sauce, fruit – Pasta, Mac & Cheese, Soup, Boxed Stuffing, etc. No refrigerated or frozen items, please.
 
Candy Collection & Help for Trunk-or-Treat The Danville Primary School will be hosting their Trunk-or-Treat on 10/26 from 5-7pm and FBC will have a trunk present! Here are a few ways you can help:
  • Pray for safety & that the gospel would reach searching hearts
  • Candy donations! Bins are located in main foyer and gym. Candy Donations Due 10/16.
  • Help with event! Call the office if you want to get in on the fun!
  • Help pack 1500 goodie bags on Thurs 10/20 @ 9:30AM in the gym
 
College Care Ministry – Donation bin is located by the Kitchen. Monetary donations are gratefully accepted to help with postage. Please designate “College ministry” and place in the offering. * * Student Info is due OCT 16- See Connect Card! * * Submit student info even if info hasn’t changed. Blood Drive Monday – Stop by the BFLC (gym) from 12:30-5:30pm. The Red Cross is in need of blood. Register for a time slot today at www.redcross.org.
 
Lost Something? Check out the display of Lost & Found items in the gym TODAY & NEXT SUNDAY! Items will be donated and/or thrown out by 10/23.
 
Unto Warehouse Packing Day October 22, 2022 – We’ll be headed again to the Unto Warehouse, 1506 Quarry Rd, Mt Joy, PA 17552 to pack a variety of items. Food packing times are 9:30 – 11:30am. Be there by 9am to sign in. Close-toed shoes are required at the warehouse. If you want to stay longer you can also pack clothing, shoes, Luo pads, blankets, gospel bracelets & other items in the afternoon. Children are welcome to serve with their parents! Lunch is provided. Sign up by Oct 16th on the ramp bulletin board or Sunday School Class. Questions or need a ride? Contact Donna Outt.

Worship Night October 16th @ 7pm – Next Sunday evening there will be an informal time of worship around the piano. Join us in the chapel as we sing praise songs to our Creator God. This will be laid back, so come as you are and worship as you like.
