Family Meal Wednesday
Served: 4:45-5:45PM | Suggested Donation is $3/person or $10/family
Sign Up by Monday: Ramp Bulletin Board, in SBS class or call the office
Menu: Jack’s Chicken, Baked Beans, Macaroni Salad, Applesauce & Rolls. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time.
Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for special needs are free of charge.
 
Fall in love with reading! Get cozy and discover your next a-maze-ing adventure with a great book from our library or leaf with a DVD. Just make sure you’re returning what you’ve borrowed and not squirreling them away!
 
Sensory-Friendly Worship Area “A shush-free, judgment-free zone where ALL can safely learn about God!” Our chapel has been fitted with wiggle seats, fidget toys, dimmable lights, noise-canceling headphones, a calming special-effect light and more! We welcome all who have unique needs to enjoy this area during our 8AM services!
 
Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer, 536 Fourteenth St., Riverside. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Donna Outt.
 
Home Groups We are currently looking for facilitators and host homes! If you would like info or to sign up, call the office or check out www.danvillefirstbaptist.org/home-groups-faq. If you are looking to join a home group, please circle H on your connect card or call the church office.
 
WORSHIP NIGHT Sunday @ 7pm – Join us in the chapel tonight for an informal time of praise and worship. It’s a chance to pause and reflect on Gods’ goodness, His great love for us, and all He has done, is doing and will continue to do in our lives. All are welcome!
 
Candy Collection & Help for Trunk-or-Treat The Danville Primary School will be hosting their Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday the 26th from 5-7pm and FBC will have a trunk present! Candy Donations Due Sunday!! Here are a few ways you can help:
  • Pray for safety & that the gospel would reach searching hearts
  • Candy donations! Bins are located in main foyer and gym.
  • Help with event! Call the office if you want to get in on the fun!
  • Help pack 1500 goodie bags on Thurs 10/20 @ 9:30AM in the gym
 
Feed-A-Friend of Montour County Collection basket will be in the Main Foyer for the month of October! Top Suggestions: Canned items such as vegetables, tuna, cranberry sauce, fruit – Pasta, Mac & Cheese, Soup, Boxed Stuffing, etc. No refrigerated or frozen items, please.
 
College Care Ministry – Donation bin is located by the Kitchen. Monetary donations are gratefully accepted to help with postage. Please designate “College ministry” and place in the offering. * * Student Info is due TODAY – See Connect Card! * * Submit student info even if info hasn’t changed

October is Pastor Appreciation Month! Card Boxes are available in the foyer for card drop offs!
 
Unto Warehouse Packing Day October 22, 2022 – We’ll be headed again to the Unto Warehouse, 1506 Quarry Rd, Mt Joy, PA 17552 to pack a variety of items. Food packing times are 9:30 – 11:30am. Be there by 9am to sign in. Close-toed shoes are required at the warehouse. If you want to stay longer you can also pack clothing, shoes, Luo pads, blankets, gospel bracelets & other items in the afternoon. Children are welcome to serve with their parents! Lunch is provided. Sign up by TODAY on the ramp bulletin board or Sunday School Class. Questions or need a ride? Contact Donna Outt.
 
Breakfast Sweets Needed Our Sunday morning Coffee Hour team would be grateful for any homemade or store-bought breakfast foods. Please drop off in the kitchen before 9am. Many heartfelt thanks!

Halloween is coming! Give your trick-or-treaters something sweeter than the candy you’re handing out – the gospel! Halloween-themed tracts are available at the Tract Rack for pickup during the month of October.
 
Lost Something? Check out the display of Lost & Found items in the gym Sunday. Items will be donated and/or thrown out by 10/23.
 
MEN’S MINISTRY FORUM – All men are invited to the gym on Saturday, November 5th from 9-10:30 am for food, fellowship and worship. Come and learn more about the men’s ministries here at First Baptist. Breakfast is provided! You can sign up at the Welcome Desk, Welcome Table or scan the QR code in the bulletin. Don’t forget to grab a reminder card!
