Special Business Meeting Recap There was an 84% positive vote (73 yes, 14 no) to make the following changes to the constitution: “The Annual Corporate Business Meeting shall be held no later than the second week of February, unless changed by a vote of the church.” The date for the upcoming Annual Business meeting will be in next week’s bulletin.
 
Family Meal Wednesday
Served: 4:45-5:45PM | Suggested Donation is $3/person or $10/family
Sign Up by Tomorrow: Ramp Bulletin Board, in SBS class or call the office
Menu: Potpie Ring, Garden Salad with Pears & Apples, & the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time.
Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for special needs are free of charge.
 
FBC Connect Class – Sundays @ 9:15 AM January 12, 19 & 26 – If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or becoming a member, then this is your class! This is a 3-part class will take place in the Conference Room (across from the church office) during the Sunday School hour. If you have any questions, feel free to call the office!

Costa Rica Mission Trip Recap – January 19 | 9:15AM – Join us in the sanctuary during the Sunday School hour to hear about some of the amazing things God did during the November 2-19, 2019 missions trip!

NEW YOUTH ROOM CLEAN UP/WORK DAY! Saturday, January 11th starting at 9am – We’ll be cleaning the entire room, putting the game tables together, placing furnishings in their proper place, and any finishing touches that need completed. Want to help? Contact Doug Wesner. Thanks in advance!
 
FBC Music ministries
Choir practices are on Monday evenings, from 7:15-8:30pm in the sanctuary. If you are interested in joining the choir, come to a rehearsal or contact the church office! Our only requirements are that you love the Lord, attend rehearsals and can match pitch!
Bells of Joy handbell choir meets on Mondays as well from 6-7:15pm in the Bell Room. Now is a great time to check it out, you just need to be able to read music. Want more info? Contact the church office.
Praise Team This contemporary group worships during the 10:30am Sunday Service. If you are interested in auditioning, please email Pastor John at pjohn@danvillefirstbaptist.org. He’ll email you songs to rehearse ahead of time, a questionnaire to fill out and setup an audition time with you. Auditions will usually take place Thursday evenings.
 
The Forge – A Ministry for Men – Tuesdays – 7PM – The Forge’s mission is to bring men together to support one another in life, faith and personal growth. We do this with Trust, Confidentiality, and Authenticity striving to deepen relationships and make new ones. There will be faith based teaching, small group discussion & light refreshments.

NEW Ladies Open Door Bible Study – TUES. 1/21 @ 9AM | WED. 1/15 @ 6PM – In this verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews, Jen Wilkin explores how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every
promise. Explore familiar verses in context of the entire Bible, learning how to place your hope and faith in Christ alone.
