NYE BASH 2023! BRINGING IN 2024 WITH A BANG! Grab your warmest coat! Join us SUNDAY at 7PM for food (s’mores & cookies), hot cocoa, fun, music and a short devotional outside.  Rain or shine! Then a big fireworks display, weather pending. This is a great opportunity to invite your friends!!  Door hangers are available on the credenza in the main lobby and welcome table in the gym.
 
Game Nights are BACK! Friday, Jan. 12th at 6PM – Bring your favorite board games and snacks to the BFLC for a night of fun, laughs and 
community! There is something for everyone! UNO you want to come. You won’t be SORRY. 
 
Family Meal Wednesday
Served: 4:45-5:45PM  |  Suggested Donation is $3/person or $10/family
Sign Up by Monday: Ramp Bulletin Board, in SBS class or call the office
Menu: Chicken Quesadillas, Salad and the desserts you bring. Desserts are on a donation basis; feel free to share a dessert any time. 
Special Needs: If you know of a shut-in or elderly person you would like to deliver a meal to, please sign them up and indicate “Shut-In”. Meals for special needs are free of charge. 
 
Breakfast Sweets Needed Our Sunday morning Coffee Hour team would be grateful for any homemade or store-bought breakfast foods. Please drop off in the kitchen before 9am. Many heartfelt thanks! Wanna join them? Talk to one of our coffee team members. They will walk you through what you need to know!  A HUGE Thank You for the donations we’ve received!!
 
Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Donna Outt.
 
Active Retired Men in Service Thursdays @ 8:30AM. This great group of guys meets for devotions, prayer time and lots of fellowship! Following their group time, they also help out around the church as well. Come on over!
 
Upcoming Ladies Bible Study “Isaiah” by Melissa Spoelstra – Isaiah communicated clearly that followers of God could trust in Him. In 7 weeks of group sessions, unpack Isaiah’s words to reveal that you can trust God more than your own human effort or the counterfeits the world suggests. You won’t be striving harder, but instead trusting more deeply in the Faithful One who is so worthy of our utter dependence. In Him you’ll find the comfort and peace you need to sustain you. Workbooks are available for pickup (suggested donation of $22). Sign up today in the main lobby! Tues. 9AM begins 1/16; Wed. 6PM begins 1/17. Nursery Available; Kids’ Jumpstart Tues AM only. Wednesday ZOOM also available.
 
Audio/Visual Techs Needed! Full coaching and training provided! Interested? Email pjohn@danvillefirstbaptist.org 
  • Sound Tech: Love music? Have an ear to hear the different instruments in a song? We will equip you to mix and run our sound boards for our radio and sanctuary sound ministry. 
  • Projector Tech: If you love worship music and can navigate a computer, we could use a talented computer tech to run our lyrics for worship services. 
  • Video Tech: If you have an eye for live broadcasting and enjoy multitasking, you will be controlling multiple cameras via one master computer. 
 
Lost Something? The closet has been filling up with items that could belong to you. You may just find that missing jacket, Bible, water bottle or food container. The Lost & Found Closet is located next to the kitchen.

The Barnabas Basket is a monthly food collection that takes place on the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday). All donations are given to the Danville Food Bank. The basket will be located in main foyer. January’s Need: Canned Fruit
